Police investigate break-ins

KANNAPOLIS ó Police are investigating multiple break-ins and theft of thousands of dollars in property.
On Monday, thieves hit a home at 3301 Brackhill St., taking a dryer, washer and refrigerator worth $2,700.
On Tuesday, a break-in at the home of Jannicia Jeaquella Austin, 1632 Bernard Ave., netted $2,385 in property. Items taken included a Sony Playstation, a desktop computer and monitor, several items of jewelry and a computer modem.
The break-in occurred between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Also on Tuesday, Wanda Forsythe Dunaway, Foster Lane, Salisbury, reported the theft of $982 worth of items from her vehicle while it was parked at 1106 S. Cannon Blvd. Items stolen included $600 cash, a cell phone, credit cards and prescription medicine. The theft occurred around noon.
