The Rowan County Animal Shelter has several animals waiting to be adopted and taken to a good home.
Dog: Named Pedro by the shelter staff, this male Chihuahua mix came to the shelter as a stray. He may be a little worn around the edges, but he still has so much to offer the right person. Give Pedro a second chance to show you how he can enrich your life.
Cat: This handsome stranger arrived at the shelter as a stray. He is most affectionate, well groomed and just a pleasure to bearound. The only thing we cannot figure out is why no one ever came looking for him. Their loss, someone else’s reward.
Adoption fees are $70, a downpayment for spay/neuter costs. The voucher can be used at any veterinarian’s office.
Before adopting any animal, a person must agree to take the pet to a veterinarian for an exam and spaying/neutering. If the animal isn’t already vaccinated for rabies, the person must agree to begin shots within three business days.
