A Charlotte man wanted by the Salisbury Police Department on assault charges turned himself in to authorities.
Malcolm Lamar Wilson, 29, of 2635 Meadow Knoll Drive, went to the Salisbury Police Department on Sunday after seeing his picture in the newspaper as part of the agency’s most wanted list.
The department submitted a list of nearly a dozen names of suspects wanted for various crimes including assault, rape and larceny.
Wilson’s warrant was related to an October 2007 charge of assault with a deadly weapon weapon.
The victim was a Salisbury woman.
After turning himself in, Wilson signed a written promise to appear in court. His court date is slated for March 19.
