Two people who were injured in Tuesday wreck involving a Salisbury Police patrol car have been released from the hospital.
Officer Christopher Hamm, 27, and Burl Natasha Haynes, 33, were taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center early Tuesday.
The collision occurred around 5:15 a.m. at the intersection of Main Street and East Monroe Street.
Police Chief Mark Wilhelm said Hamm was driving a Ford Crown Victoria patrol car north on Main Street when Haynes failed to stop for a blinking red light at the intersection. She was driving a 2004 GMC sport utility vehicle west on East Monroe.
The SUV struck the passenger side of the patrol car.
Haynes was charged with failure to stop for a red light and driving with a revoked license.
Both vehicles were considered a total loss.
