North High Band brings home honors
The North Rowan High School Band gave another exciting performance Oct.10 at the fourth annual Lord Salisbury Prelim/Finals Contest Band at Catawba College.
In the prelims program, the Marching Cavs won the following in Class 3A:
– Second Place Band
– Second Place Percussion
– Second Place Drum Major
– Second Place Colorguard
– Second Place Music
– Second Place Marching
– Second Place General Effect
In the finals program that evening, the Cavaliers came in fifth overall for the day.
The North Rowan Band is under the direction of Keith, Andrew and Tyler Howe. Mr. Darrell McDowell is principal, and Jan Snider is band booster president.
