KANNAPOLIS ó The TV show “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” will feature the Gem Theatre tonight.
The news program sent a camera crew to the theater across from the N.C. Research Campus to do a story on the Gem’s free movie nights.
Owner Steve Morris started showing free flicks at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays as a “recession buster.”
Free movies run through April 8. The historic theater seats 900.
