KANNAPOLIS ó Multiple agencies are investigating an incident on Easy Street in which authorities say a mother assaulted her 11-year-old daughter.
Kannapolis Police Detective Joe Yurco said the mother was apparently angry because her two daughters, ages 9 and 11, were fighting.
The incident occurred Thursday around 9:37 a.m. at the family’s 209 Easy Street residence off South Main Street, near the Concord city limits.
Yurco said the mother physically intervened in the altercation, with the 11-year-old catching the worst of it.
Yurco said the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services is also working on the case.
No charges had been filed Monday.
