Have you experienced a traumatic event in your life? Do you have difficulty coping with everyday stressors or do you ever wish for a more meaningful life? Perhaps you’re ready to discover what is useful and effective in life?
NAMI Rowan will be offering a Peer-to-Peer Recovery Education Course beginning in June for any person living with serious mental illness. Peer-to-Peer is a nine-week, two-hours-per-week course on the topic of recovery.
The course will cover major mental illnesses, coping strategies, empowerment and develop a relapse prevention plan. It is free of charge to people who experience mental illness, and participants do not need to be a member of NAMI to take the course.
The class is limited to 15. For information, call Sarah Boyd at 704-636-2780.
