A 30-year-old Salisbury man who was run over by his girlfriend was in critical condition late Friday in a Charlotte hospital.
Perry Lee Bost of 402 Calhoun St., was transferred from Rowan Regional Medical Center to Carolinas Medical Center shortly after the mishap around 2 p.m. Friday.
Police said his condition was critical.
Bost was riding in a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Tonya Hennis, who police identified as his girlfriend. Both live at 402 Calhoun St.
The mishap occurred in the 400 block of Calhoun Street, which runs between Klumac Road and Vance Avenue.
Police Chief Mark Wilhelm said some “issue” occurred while the Blazer was in the 400 block of Calhoun Street.
Bost climbed out a window on the passenger side and fell under the wheel of the vehicle.
Wilhelm said the Blazer’s tire ran over Bost’s upper body.
A third person, a teenager, was in the the Blazer when the accident occurred.
No charges have been filed.
