A man injured in a go-kart accident at Millbridge Speedway has been released from the hospital.
Melvin McAllister, the operator of the track off N.C. 150, said Tuesday that the driver, Jerry Blakesley, was released Sunday from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
Blakesley was injured Saturday evening while practicing for a run in the “clone class.”
The cart hit a tire barrier and flipped over on him.
He was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center and airlifted to the Winston-Salem hospital.
McAllister said Blakesley was a newcomer at the track.
