A 30-year-old man is in critical condition after being run over by a vehicle around 2 p.m. Friday.
Salisbury Police Chief Mark Wilhelm said the man jumped through the window of a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer traveling on Calhoun Street and fell under the wheel.
Wilhelm said initial reports indicated that the man’s girlfriend was driving the vehicle.
He was transported to Rowan Regional Medical Center and transferred to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Names were not immediately available.
