KANNAPOLIS ó A home on Briarcliff Drive was damaged by fire this morning, according to the Kannapolis Fire Department.
A press release says the call came in at 9:47 a.m., with firefighters responding at 9:51 a.m.
The caller said fire was coming from the roof of the home at 141 Briarcliff Drive.
Fire crews entered the home to extinguish the blaze. Firefighters remained on the scene for some time putting out hot spots.
The homeowner was home at the time of the fire but no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has been determined as accidental.
