Fire quickly doused in KannapolisKANNAPOLIS ó The Kannapolis Fire Department responded to a structure fire Monday morning at the Home-Towne Suites, 3200 Cloverleaf Parkway.
Upon arrival at 7:20 a.m., fire crews found smoke on the fourth floor of the building. The fire had been kept to a minimum by the structure’s sprinkler system.
Fire personnel extinguished the blaze and searched all floors for any occupants in danger.
Investigators said cooking was the cause of the fire.
