The Juneteenth Committee is holding a giveaway for back-to-school supplies Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at Miller Recreation Center, 1402 W. Bank St.
The event is open to children ages 7-10 who are accompanied by an adult.
The committee has supplies for about 100 children and will offer other activities, including a spelling bee. The winner will receive a book bag full of school supplies.
Sponsoring the event along with the Juneteenth Committee are Coca-Cola, Food Lion, Walmart, First Legacy Community Credit Union and Cheerwine.
