Dump truck, car collide head-on on Stokes Ferry Road
A head-on collision between a dump truck and a car on Stokes Ferry Road around 1:30 p.m. today critically injured at least one person.
According to emergency 911 radio traffic, first responders and Rowan EMS asked for a medical helicopter to transport a woman who was initially trapped in the car.
The accident occurred at 6415 Stokes Ferry Road, near the intersection with Beagle Club Road.
After a helicopter landed near the scene, a woman injured in the accident was then transported to an area hospital. The helicopter then left.
