Downtown sculpture to be dedicated
The stainless steel sculpture Sentinel No. 2 by local artist Michael Baker will be dedicated at 3 p.m. March 17 in the plaza at East Fisher and South Lee streets.
The 9-foot-tall sculpture had been installed for six months in 2008 on loan from Baker. Later, Edward and Susan Norvell purchased the sculpture to present as a gift to the city.
The public is invited to attend the dedication, which will feature statements by the mayor, Baker and the Norvells.
