A Salisbury couple charged earlier this week with growing marijuana in their home and possessing more than $21,000 worth of the drug have also been charged with endangering their children.
Robert Sherman Wiseman III, 31, and Ashli Blake Neff, 29, have each been charged with two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office charged the pair Tuesday with manufacturing marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana. Wiseman was also charged with felony maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for a controlled substance.
The Sheriff’s Office seized 10 marijuana plants with a street value of $20,000 and 310 grams of marijuana with a street value of $1,550, reports said.
On Thursday, arrest warrants said there were a 10-year-old boy and a 2-month-old baby girl in the home, “in the presence of illegal drugs and drug activity.”
Wiseman and Neff are being held on an additional $500 secured bond.
The new charges added $500 apiece to the $250,000 bonds under which Wiseman and Neff were being held. They remained in the Rowan County Detention Center on Friday.
Wiseman and Neff are scheduled for May 6 court appearances.
