Colleges list area students’ academic accomplishments

JAMESTOWN ó Guilford Technical Community College has recognized the academic accomplishments of students during the fall 2008 semester. Students were recognized at three levels: president’s list, dean’s list and honors list.
The president’s list includes all program students who complete at least 12 credit hours for the semester and earn a 4.0 grade point average.
The dean’s list includes all program students who complete at least 12 credit hours for the semester and earn a grade point average of less than 4.0 but no lower than 3.5 with no grade lower than a B.
The honor’s list includes all program students who complete at least two courses for the semester for a minimum of six credit hours, but no more than 11 credit hours, and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average with no grade lower than a B.

Gardner-Webb lists
Area students named to Gardner-Webb University’s dean’s list during fall semester include Elizabeth B. Brown of Spencer, whose major is nursing; Allie L. Mills of Spencer, whose major is chemistry; and Kelly N. Cobb of Woodleaf, whose major is religious studies.
The dean’s list honors outstanding college students for their academic achievements for having a GPA of 3.7 or above.The following local students were named to the honor roll list during fall semester: Rachel L. Russell of Mount Ulla; Salisbury ó Elizabeth M. Farmer, whose major is elementary education, and Hyatt N. Grissom; Felix R. Bautista of Woodleaf, whose major is business administration
The honor roll recognizes outstanding college students who achieve a GPA between 3.2 and 3.7 through outstanding academic contribution during a semester.
Clemson list
Hannah Peach, daughter of Bob and Barbara Peach of Salisbury, has made the president’s list at Clemson University for the fall semester.
Students must earn at 4.0 GPA to be included in this list. Peach is a 2005 graduate of Salisbury High School and is majoring in psychology with a health sciences minor. She is a member of Chi Omega and the Clemson Calhoun Honors Program.
