An East Rowan High School student is among eight students nominated to the nation’s military academies by 6th District U.S. Rep. Howard Coble.
Jacob Michael Shuping, son of Kim and Jody Shuping of Salisbury, has received an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Col.
Coble also nominated students from Davidson, Guilford and Moore counties for appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y.
