A Charlotte man died in an accident Saturday evening on Copperfield Boulevard in Concord.
The Concord Police Department has identified the victim as Keith Terrell Jones, 30, of 5607 Chiefly Place, Charlotte.
The accident occurred at 7:20 p.m. on Copperfield Boulevard at the intersection of Progress Place. A preliminary investigation shows that Jones, who was driving a motorcycle, may have lost control of his bike as he left the parking lot of a business on Progress Place and drove into oncoming traffic on Copperfield Boulevard.
Jones was struck by oncoming traffic as he entered the four-lane road.
Donna Summers Greene, 57, the driver of a 1996 Lexus and a passenger, Julius Sylvester Greene, 58, from Winston-Salem, were not injured in the crash, but their car sustained significant damage from the impact with the motorcycle.
A second vehicle, a 2003 Saturn Vue, driven by Robin Annette Long, 41, of Kannapolis, was also involved in this crash. She and her passenger, Richard Dale Long, 42, were not injured.
