Blotter: Thieves try to break into pawn shop through bathroom wall

Someone tried to break into a pawn shop through an exterior wall.
China Grove Gun and Pawn, 5850 S. Main St., reported a March 16 attempted break-in where would-be thieves tried to break through the store’s bathroom wall.
The person caused about $500 in damages. They did not gain access to the building.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

– Donna Anne Burleson reported March 16 a larceny at 155 Springway Lane, Cleveland, where a mailbox was stolen.
– Brian Phillip Grimes reported March 16 a fraud purchase on eBay from Phoenix, Ariz., at 2090 Saw Road, China Grove.
– Kimberly Efird Fisher reported March 16 someone attempted to enter her vehicle at 175 Ellen St.
– Dylan Thomas O’Brien reported March 16 someone forced him to empty his pockets and took his personal property at 1440 Agner Road.
– Orlando Raphel Torrence, 21, was charged March 16 with felony possession of weapon by felon, at 100 Franklin Ave., Kannapolis, following a traffic stop.
– Harvey James Kluttz, 47, was charged March 16 with misdemeanor communicating threats at 330 Paige Drive.
