Blotter: Thieves steal from motorsports business

Staff reportThieves hit a company in the motorsports business park off N.C. 152 near Mooresville.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reported thieves forced a door open and took almost $5,000 worth of tools and car parts from McReynolds Inc. at 1182 Gateway Drive.
Items taken included a Holley 390 carburetor valued at $1,600, and performance brake and rotors valued at $1,500.
The break-in occurred between 7 p.m. on Sept. 4 and 9 a.m. on Sept. 7.
Incidents and charges reported on Sept. 7:
– Martin Edward Hannah, 325 Fisherman’s Lane, reported the theft of a .45 caliber Ruger P-90, valued at $300.
The gun was taken sometime between March 20 and Sept. 7.
– David Etheridge, 720 Riverwalk Drive, reported the theft of a 1999 Sea-Doo red and white GTX personal watercraft from his home between 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 and 11 a.m. on Sept. 7.
Incidents and charges reported on Sept. 5:
– Judy Evans Miller of McShag Drive, Kannapolis, reported the theft of $3,700 worth of jewelry from her home on Sept. 6 between 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Items taken included a 2- karat diamond band ring valued at $2,000, and a 1-karat diamond cluster ring valued at at $500.
Incidents and charges reported on Sept. 5:
– Randel Wayne Peacock, 51, was charged with resist, delay and obstruct a public official at an incident at 3460 Poole Road.
According to reports, Peacock kicked Deputy Daniel Myers and attempted to kick a door closed on Myers.
Incidents and charges reported on Sept. 3:
– Barbara N. Williams, 1049 Midway Park Drive, reported a break-in and theft at her home, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
