Blotter: Teen charged with attempted break-in

A teenager was charged after authorities say he tried to break into a Salisbury home, damaging the door.
Justin William Presnell, 17, was charged March 26 with damage to personal property and misdemeanor attempted breaking and entering a building at 285 Shuping Mill Road.
According to a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, the teenager was released to his mother. The homeowner, Amber M. George, reported the incident on March 26.
It appears nothing was taken from the home.

– Timothy Lee Odom reported a March 26 theft of cash from his residence at 3855 Daugherty Road, China Grove.
– Josue Nahun Garcia reported on March 26 someone was using his Social Security number to work in the United States, 320 E. Chamblee Drive.
– Alycia Nicole Ellis reported on March 26 larceny from a motor vehicle, 1140 Garrick Road.
– Andre Lamont Cannon reported on March 26 larceny by employee at 580 Miller Road.
– Michael Lee Stirewalt reported on March 26 someone stole farm equipment parts from 580 Old Beatty Ford Road, Rockwell.
– Susan Genean Rhodes reported on March 26 her house was broken into and jewelry, camera, cell phone and laptop were taken from 6795 Roberts Drive, Kannapolis.
– Phillip Andrew Saffin, 38, was charged March 26 with driving while impaired at 1419 North U.S. 29/ N.C. 152, China Grove, when he was stopped for speeding.
– Virginia Ruth Thomas, 46, was charged March 26 with driving while impaired at 17699 Stokes Ferry Road and the county line, Richfield.
– Kacey Wayne Adams, 29, was charged March 26 with felony financial transaction card takes/obtains.
– Brade Treece, 41, was charged March 26 with misdemeanor assault on a female.
– Nathaniel Wade Holshouser, 20, was charged March 26 with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance schedule VI at 3699 Mooresville Road/Neel Road.
