Blotter: Landis man faces breaking and entering, drug charges

William Dale Winburn, 37, of 1205 Spry Lane, Landis, faces multiple charges connected with his alleged breaking into a house at 620 Vance St.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s office charged Winburn with trafficking opium or heroin; breaking, entering and larceny; felonious possession of stolen property; simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; injury to real property; and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a Schedule II substance.
He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $25,000 bond.
Reports said Winburn stole jewelry and other items valued at $150 from the home of Phyllis Peeler. Entry into the house was made by damaging a rear door. Prescription narcotics taken included morphine and Percocet.
