Blotter: $11,000 worth of jewelry, goods reported stolen

A Hollywood Drive resident reported the theft of more than $11,000 worth of jewelry and goods from her home.
The Rowan Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break-in at Kendra Daugherty Finger’s home at 2855 Hollywood Drive.
The break-in occurred on Oct. 6. Items taken included primarily jewelry valued at $10,000 along with an HP laptop computer and flat screen TV.
Other reports, arrests or incidents from Oct. 11:
– Deputies are investigating the theft of $2,000 worth of equipment including a sound mixer board, electric guitar and amplifier. The equipment owned by Sidney Lanier Jay Jr., was taken from a residence at 250 Oliver Road, Rockwell.
Other reports, arrests or incidents from Oct. 9:
– Christopher Todd Stumpp, 180 N. Fisherman Lane, reported the theft of tires, wheels and related equipment worth $1,800 from a building. The theft occurred between April 1 and Oct. 9.
Other reports, arrests or incidents from Oct. 7:
– John Michael Henry of 1165 Safrit Road, reported his credit card was used to buy goods at several local businesses.
– Jane Elizabeth Beck, 3326 Stokes Ferry Road, reported the theft of more than $2,500 worth of goods from her home. Items taken included jewelry, batteries, Christmas decorations, curtains, a green chair cover, a cookbook and one coffee pot. The theft occurred between Oct. 3 and Oct. 7.
Other reports, arrests or incidents from Oct. 6:
– Two students at East Rowan High School, Marissa Higgins, 16, and Elena Anne Peters, 17 , were charged with fighting at the school.
