The Rowan Razorbacks 9-and-under baseball team won the Blast Nations tournament championship held Nov. 7-8 in Huntersville.
The Razorbacks beat the Lake Norman Outlaws 16ń0 in three innings, then lost 13-10 in the second game to Steel Creek.
The Razorbacks beat the Lake Norman Wildcats 15ń0 in three innings and beat the Steel Creek team 14-2 in the title game.
Leading pitchers were Olen Stamper and Daniel Durham.
The Razorbacks were led at the plate by Bo Rusher (.833 batting average), Powers Muller and Stamper (.750), Alex Antosek (636), Cole Hales, Cole Myers and Payne Stohlsworth (.500) and Durham (.444).
Other key players were Maddox Holshouser and Cade Bernhardt.
The Razorbacks scored 55 runs in 18 innings and allowed only 15 runs The team is coached by Bobby Rusher, Jim Muller and Rob Hales.
