Cricket incident required some skill
While I don’t condone the illegal actions of the local students perpetrating the “cricket incident,” it did show good organizational skills in pulling off their stunt. As punishment, I suggest they all be required to use their time, energy and creativity to plan a fundraiser for local homeless dogs and cats.

Part-time smoker?
Do you know someone who smokes only on weekends or at social events, and then they tell you their not a actual smoker? Anyone who smokes a cigarette no matter how often they smoke is a smoker.
The term “social smoker” refers to anyone who smokes one or two times a week or on weekends. According to the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, there is really no safe amount of smoking.
In my family, I had a uncle who used to smoke, and he only smoked once or twice a week. He tried to reassure me that it wasn’t hurting him, but I wasn’t sure. A couple years later he died from lung cancer from smoking cigarettes.
Even if you don’t smoke often, you could become a regular smoker. So why not quit now? There’s no better time to quit than right now.
I’m a member of Southeast Middle’s Patriots Against Tobacco TRU club. All our events are funded by the N.C. Health and Wellness Trust Fund.
