The LandTrust for Central North Carolina hosted approximately 20 high school students from the Rowan County Home School Association at a canoe trip on Lake Tillery.
The trip was co-hosted by staff from Morrow Mountain State Park.
Participants received a lesson in basic canoe skills from Morrow Mountain Ranger Ron Anundson, heard a presentation on the benefits of land conservation from LandTrust operations director Andrew Waters and enjoyed a spectacular day on Lake Tillery and the Uwharrie River.
