Eric Moore, a life-long Rockwell resident and entrepreneur, has filed for Rockwell Board of Aldermen.
Moore, 42, who lives at 211 Brown St. in Rockwell, owns and operates American Hydro Services, Inc. The company provides cleaning and maintenance services to large construction contractors in the Charlotte area.
A 1985 East Rowan graduate, Moore has worked as an electrician and studied drafting and design.
He has been a member of the Rockwell Planning Board for two years and the revitalization board for three years.
If elected, Moore wants to bring new ideas to the board and focus on bringing new jobs to the town.
“We need a manufacturing base to create many jobs,” he said.
Moore said in a slow economy there are many businesses looking to relocate their headquarters and find new labor. He said the town must put its best foot forward and refurbish buildings in the downtown area to attract buisness.
Moore plans to lend his ear to the people.
“I’m not there to do just what I think needs to be done,” he said. “I’m working for the citizens. It takes everybody.”
