She has two brothers, Christian Andrew, 10 and Cory James, 7. Grandparents are Steve and Myra Cook of Concord and Jay and Eula Mae Beaver of Salisbury. Great-grandparent is Evelyn Blackwelder of Concord.
Kaylea Retzer
A daughter, Kaylea Alise Basinger, was born to Kristie Basinger-Retzer and Steve Retzer of Salisbury on March 4, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 6 pounds, 1 1/2 ounces. She has two brothers, Vinzent Retzer, 19, and Nicoles Retzer, 18, and two sisters, Anastasia Retzer, 12, and Tatyonna Retzer, 10. Grandparents are Olin and Audrey Basinger of Salisbury, Roberta Retzer of Riverside, Calif., and the late Alvin Retzer. Arlie Hill of Salisbury is great-grandparent.
Hensley Hammond
A daughter, Hensley Hope, was born to Joseph Todd and Kelly Storey Hammond of Kannapolis on May 21, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center- NorthEast. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce. She has one brother, Hayden Todd, 3. Grandparents are R.J. and Faye Hammond, Jewell Storey and Michael and Anna Storey, all of Kannapolis. Great-grandparents are Effie Ingram and Ross and Loretta Torey, all of Kannapolis.

Ransom Damme
A son, Ransom David, was born to Kacie Amanda Watson and Darin Robert Damme of Kansas City, Mo., on May 12, 2009, at Mercy and Truth Medical Mission Birthing Center, Kansas City, Kansas. He weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces. Grandparents are John and Kathy Watson of China Grove, Chris and Spring Corriher of Salisbury, and Boyd and Barb Damme of Kearney, Neb. Great-grandparents are John and Phyllis Watson of Kannapolis, Patricia Roseman of Salisbury, Harry and Jane Corriher of China Grove, Elva Damme of Kearney, Neb., and Lavern Damme of Omaha, Neb.

Great- grandparents are Leroy Morris and Ellen Correll, both of China Grove, Nettie Rogers of Salisbury and Michael S. Amico of New York.
Rayna Darawich
A daughter, Rayna Cheyenne, was born to Amber Denise and Nathan Conan Darawich of Saraland, Ala., on May 15, 2009, at Providence Hospital, Mobile, Ala. She weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces. She has one brother, Caleb Tyler Sanders, 4. Grandparents are Tracy and Jesse Sexton and Sam Darawich of Salisbury, and Michael Murrill and Terri Murrill of Mobile. Great-grandparents are Thomas and Betty Kemp, Gene Darawich, Judy Street and Dorothy Spear, all of Mobile. Clara Kemp of Brooksville, Miss., is great-great-grandparent.
