MILWAUKEE ó Bill Hall snapped a 1-for-28 slump with a two-out, RBI single in the 10th inning to lift the Milwaukee Brewers to a 1-0 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday.
Cardinals ace Chris Carpenter took a perfect game into the seventh inning, and the Brewers’ Yovani Gallardo carried a no-hitter into the sixth before each allowed just two hits over eight innings.
Carpenter extended his scoreless streak to 23 innings.
