A daughter, Julia Grace, was born to Pamela Jouan-Goldman and Michael Goldman of Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 27, 2009, at Lenox Hill Hospital, Manhattan. She weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces. She has one brother, Gabriel, 4. Grandparents are Charles and Norma Goldman of Salisbury, Cynthia Jouan of Norbry, England and the late Marcel Jouan.
Sawyer Sherrill
A daughter, Sawyer Brooke, was born to Jeff and Charlene Freeze Sherrill of China Grove on April 23, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast. She weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces. Grandparents are Jack and Sharon Ross of Landis, Pressley Freeze of Mooresville and Henry and Sarah Sherrill of China Grove. Eva Lee Reed of Tennessee is great-grandparent. Lawson Basinger

Wesley Swanner
A son, Wesley James, was born to Steven and Julia Kerr Swanner of Burlington on April 20, 2009, at Women’s Hospital of Greensboro. He weighed 6 pounds. Grandparents are Jimmy and Ann Swanner of Salisbury and Jim and Jane Kerr of New London. Great-grandparents are James and Willie Swanner of China Grove.
Payton Garrett
A daughter, Payton Aurora, was born to Keith and Courtney Vanhoy Garrett of Kannapolis on Feb. 12, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-University. She weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces. She has two stepbrothers, Brayden 7, and Blake 6, and a stepsister, Breleigh, 3. Grandparents are Rick and Crystal Vanhoy of China Grove, Jerry and Debbie Garrett of South Carolina and Pam and Wayne Mishak of China Grove.
Madalynne Sides
A daughter, Madalynne Lane, was born to Brent David and Kimberly Gilbert Sides of Salisbury on April 14, 2009, at Rowan Regional Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce. Grandparents are Judy Sides of Salisbury, Linda and Paul Rogers of Salisbury and the late Johnny Gilbert.
Madison Trexler
A daughter, Madison Lily, was born to Brittany Renée and Daryl James Trexler of Salisbury on May 3, 2009, at NorthEast Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 5.2 ounces. She has a brother, Landon, 20 months. Grandparents are Michelle Graham of Salisbury and Dale and Leslie Trexler of Faith. Great-grandparents are Lanny and Bonnie Graham of Salisbury, Ron Smith of Matthews and Mike and Joyce Barger of Faith. Bessie Cooper of Rockwell is great-great grandparent.
Andrew Ferguson
A son, Andrew Cohen, was born to Whittney and David Ferguson on April 23, 2009, at Lake Point Medical Clinic, Rowlett, Texas. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces. Grandparents are Cheryl and David Rex of Northland Hills, Texas, Jane and James Ferguson of Clearwater. Fla., and the late William T. Cohen. Great-grandparents are Burl Ferguson of Titusville, Fla. and Margaret Wansley and Ruby and Bill Cohen, all of Salisbury.
