Salisbury alum Shayla Fields scored 16 points Thursday in her final home game for N.C. State, which won 67-45 against Clemson on senior night at Reynolds Coliseum.Fields had a career-high seven assists and three rebounds as the Wolfpack (13-15, 5-8) beat a Clemson team coached by East Rowan graduate Cristy McKinney.
“It was emotional knowing that Coach (Kay) Yow wasn’t going to be here for senior night,” said Fields, who eclipsed 1,300 career points. “Thinking back over my four years, just the opportunity I was given here at N.C. State has been such a blessing.”
