'The Tempest': Taking Salisbury by storm

A storm at sea. A shipwreck. Fantastic creatures, romance and intrigue.
It’s all in a day’s play at the Meroney Theatre.
Following up on a very successful production of “Aladdin” this past fall, Piedmont Players’ Theatre current youth production is Shakespeare’s “The Tempest.”
It’s an exciting play, with a storm at sea, a shipwreck, fantastic creates, romance and intrigue.
Oh yes, and on-stage flying.
The show is being performed for county fourth-and fifth-graders this week.
Public performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Tickets are $6, general admission. The box office opens 2 hours prior to each show.
The show is produced by Bill and Shari Graham. The Flying by Foy System sponsored by F&M Bank.
