WINSTON-SALEM (AP) ó Wake Forest will play its first regular-season game against a Pac-10 opponent this year.
The Demon Deacons’ schedule includes a visit from Stanford on Sept. 12.
Wake Forest also plays nonconference games at home against Baylor on Sept. 5 and at Navy on Oct. 24.Wake is the only one of the state’s Big Four to play just one FCS team. It faces Elon on Sept. 19.
Four of the Deacs’ final six games are on the road, including their two contests against their rotating Coastal Division opponents. They face Miami on Oct. 31, then travel to Georgia Tech the following week.
It’s just the third time in school history that Wake will play seven home games.
