Meet the Artists: Coffee and ConversationMeet in the studio at 6:30 p.m. for coffee, tea, and informal discussions. At 7 p.m., the artists will present their work and share their perspective on inspiration, art materials and techniques. 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesdays in January.
– Jan 6: Marina Konovalova-Bare, “From Russia to Rowan ó An Artist’s Journey”

Adult Five- and Six-Week Studio Workshops
– All About Digital Photography
R. Wayne Wrights will cover the basics, plus composition, photo editing, and an outdoor photo shoot. Bring your camera manual. All skill levels, ages 16 and up. 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesdays, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24; March 3, 10. $75 member/$90 nonmember.
– Clay Compositions: Hand-Built
A five-week pottery workshop with Mimi Howard. Includes lecture and hands-on activities. Earns one content CEU for teachers. Teachers register on SEA. Others register with Waterworks. All clay fees included. For ages 18 and up. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26; March 5. $85.
– Clay Compositions: Wheel-Thrown
A continuation of the previous pottery class, will include lecture, demonstrations, and individual instruction. Earns one content CEU for teachers. Teachers register on SEA. Others register at Waterworks. All clay fees included. Ages 18 and up. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, March 12, 19, 26; April 2, 9. $85.
– Terracotta Sculpture
Join artist Robert Toth in the clay studio. Workshop will include demonstrations for sculpting 3D objects. Students will complete a figure study from a live model, including a patina finish demo and preparation for firing. All skill levels, ages 18 and up. All clay fees are included. 6-9 p.m. Tuesday evenings, February 3, 10, 17, 24; March 3,10. $100 member /$120 nonmember.
– Clay Studio Workshop: Hand and Wheel
Try out the wheel and hand-building techniques in a class with Brenda Gariepy. Limited to eight students, ages 14 and up, beginning and intermediate levels. Clay fees included. 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesdays, March 17, 24, 3; April 7, 14, 21.$100 member/$120 nonmember.- Figure Drawing with Lou MurphyStudents will learn to be at ease with drawing from life and will draw from nude models. Ages 18 and older. All skill levels. Materials list will be provided. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays. $100 member/$120 nonmember.Session I: Jan. 15, 22, 29; February 5, 12, 19.

– Pastels with Phyllis Steimel
Demonstrations and individual guidance for all skill levels, ages 16 and up. Materials list provided. 6:30-8:30 p.m.Tuesdays, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24; March 3, 10. $75 member/$90 nonmember.
– Mix It Up
Artists will be co-teaching oil and watercolor classes.
For the first three weeks, one class will study oil painting with Harold Frontz while the other class studies watercolor painting with Leslie Frontz. At the end of the first three weeks, students will “mix it up” by switching to attend the alternate class for the remaining three weeks. Only primary colors are needed in each class. Beginning and intermediate students, ages 16 and up. Materials list will be provided. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 5, 12, 19, 26; March 5, 12. $80 member/$95 nonmember.
– Plein Air Painting
Bring your brushes and pallette and join Phyllis Steimel to paint outdoors. All skill levels, ages 16 and up. Materials list will be provided. 9 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Saturdays, April 18, 25; May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30. $75 member/ $90 nonmember.
– Watercolor Workshop
For beginners and for those who have tried but have been frustrated with this “unforgiving” medium. Learn about watercolor materials and techniques with artist Frank Saunders. Ages 14 and up. Materials list provided. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays, March 19, 26; April 2, 9, 16, 23. $75 member/$90 nonmember.
Saturday Youth Studio Workshops
– Origami and Paper Boxes
Instructor: M.T. Sidoli; 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Feb. 7. Grades 4-7, $40.- Learn to Draw What You See
Learn the basic techniques of drawing with pencil and charcoal from Ray Moose. Part 1 will cover the fundamentals of drawing and how to draw three-dimensional objects. Part 2 will continue with learning about light, shadows, perspective, and composition. $ 45 member/$ 60 nonmember. Grades 3-5 ó Part 1: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. March 14; Part 2: 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. March 21. Grades 6-8 ó Part 1: 2-4 p.m. March 14; Part 2: 2-4 p.m., March 21.
– Down to EarthIn celebration of Earth Day, students will design 3D landscapes from natural materials. Instructor: M.T. Sidoli 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., April 18. $35 per child. Grades 1-5. Parents of first and second graders are welcome at no extra cost.- Messy Art for MomChildren will have fun getting “messy” while painting an art project just in time for Mother’s Day. Bring your child and get in on the fun. Instructor: M.T. Sidoli. 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., May 9. Ages 4-7 with adult. $30 per child.
