– Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary general meeting, Sunday, 2 p.m., Stanback Room, Rowan Public Library, Salisbury. A slide show of features of the proposed sanctuary will be shown, and the 2009 Board of Directors will be elected.
– The United House of Prayer for All People kitchen will be open Friday 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m.-4 p.m. It will be closed Saturday.
– Cedar Grove AME Zion Church missionary department will host a hot dog sale at the IGA grocery store in Cleveland starting at 11 a.m. Friday.
