*Defense: Lexington has allowed 232 points, and the Cavaliers have permitted 272.
*Game notes: This will be North’s last game in 2A for the foreseeable future. With an ADM figure of 703 students, North needs to be in 1A, and that’s where it will be next fall.
North’s beaten Lexington three years in a row, but that streak will end barring divine intervention. Lexington, with running back Chris Bush and QB Teland Todd, is an imposing offensive machine.
North’s given up 200 more points than it’s scored, and this will be the lowest-scoring North team since the 1960s.
The last year North failed to score 100 points was in 1966, when it managed 95 points in 10 games.
Still, the Cavs have played OK at home since an early season rout by Carson. In its last four at Eagle Stadium, North has had a shot ó losing 15-6, 16-6, 15-12 and 29-20.
Javon Hargrave and Vince Shropshire have turned in all-star years, and juniors such as Dominique Meade and Regggie Smyre have made steady progress.
