Lee Street Theatre hosts Mad Hatter Tea Party

Lee Street Theatre invites you to step in “through the looking glass” for a night of music, fun, fantasy, with a little madness, mayhem, and of course, a whole lot of comedy
Join them for their first annual Mad Hatter Tea Party. The revelry commences Friday, Oct. 10 in the black box theater of the Looking Glass Artist Collective facility at 405 N. Lee St. Doors open at 8 p.m. and entertainment begins around 8:30. Admission into a world of make-believe is $10.
Come join the Mad Hatter, March Hare, Alice, Queen of Hearts and other characters who’ve escaped from Wonderland. A magician will be there, along with a fortune teller.
Local actors/artists providing entertainment in the black box include: Nadirah Dance Company’s Tammi Casper, Tanya Hoover, Janelle Myers, Norma Fink and Simone Ortega; singers Becky Lippard and Maryann McCubbin; performance artist Kelly Ray; fortune teller Nancy Gaines; poet Brian Romans; “King of Cats” skit by Robert Jones and Maryann McCubbin; and emceed by the Mad Hatter Darryl Casper.
Lee Street Theatre is Salisbury’s newest acting company, formed in June. They have planned a full season of one-act plays, monologues, original plays, plays that “push the envelope,” reader’s theatre, story-telling, belly dancing and stand-up comedy. Lee Street Theatre is the resident theatre company of Looking Glass Artist Collective of Salisbury, which formed in April of this year.
