Rowan-Cabarrus Com-munity College is offering a preparation/review course for persons planning to take the N.C. Residential General Contractor License examination.
The class will meet 6-8 p.m. Thursdays Oct. 2-Dec. 11 in North Campus Building 200, Room 260, at I-85 and Jake Alexander Boulevard. Jeff Duncan of JJ’s Construction Co. in Granite Quarry will be the course instructor.
There is a $50 fee for the 20-hour course, plus textbooks, which are available in the college’s bookstore. Advanced registration is required.

New radiologist
ALBEMARLE ó Dr. Matthew C. Allison, a board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologist, has joined Stanly Regional Medical Center and Stanly County Imaging.
A graduate of Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Allison completed a residency at Medical Center Hospital of Vermont in Burlington and a fellowship in abdominal imaging at Medical College of Virginia. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
He is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He also has a special interest in Body Imaging, Computed Tomography (CT) and Ultrasound.
West Stanly Imaging is a full service diagnostic imaging center located at Stanly Regional West in Locust.
