Barnaby – Davis

Gary and Evelyn Barnaby of Wibaux, Mt., and Ervin and Margeurite Emter of Glen Ullin, N.D., are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Coreen Marie Barnaby of Suwanee, Ga., to Jason Scott Davis of Atlanta, Ga.
The bride-to-be is a 1996 graduate of Glen Ullin High School in North Dakota and received an Associate degree in Surgical Technology from East Grand Forks Technical College in Minnesota in 1998, where she was an honor graduate and on the deanís list. Coreen was also a four-sport athlete in basketball, track, volleyball and softball. She is an Office Manager and a Certified Surgical Technologist at Atlanta Center for Athletes.
The future groom is the son of Benjamin and Suzette Davis and the grandson of Mrs. Rebecca Lowery Davis, all of Salisbury. A 1994 honor graduate of West Rowan High School and Athlete of the Year, Jason was All County and All Conference in Football and was a member of two basketball conference championships. In 2000, he received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Administration and History from Catawba College, where he attended on an athletic scholarship and was named Standout Free Safety for the 1996 SAC Conference Championship. A former teacher/coach at Salisbury High School and Southeast Middle School and former football coach at Catawba College, Delta State University in Mississippi and Southeastern Louisiana University, Jason is an Account Manager at Think Resources, Inc., in Atlanta, Ga.
The wedding is Oct. 25 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Salisbury.

Lippard Five Generations

Clinard – Kluttz

Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Neal Clinard of High Point announce the engagement of their daughter, Lyl MacLean Clinard of Charlotte, to Lieutenant Commander William Clarence Kluttz III of Seattle, Washington, the son of the Honorable and Mrs. William Clarence Kluttz, Jr. of Salisbury.
Miss Clinard is the granddaughter of Mr. Hector MacLean of Lumberton, the late Mrs. MacLean, Mrs. Aaron Brown Clinard of Thomasville and the late Mr. Clinard. She is a graduate of Westchester Academy and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. She is employed as a Client Manager for LexisNexis.
Lieutenant Commander Kluttz is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. John Edmund Wear and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Clarence Kluttz, all of Salisbury. He is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School and North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. He is a United States Navy pilot currently deployed on the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Persian Gulf.
A December 20 wedding is planned at First Presbyterian Church in High Point.
