– David Correll of Correll Farms will return in about a month with pumpkins.
The remainder of the vendors will continue at the Farmer’s Market through the last Saturday in October.
– Tomatoes are still plentiful, as are peas.
– Cress Farm has purple hull peas, bi-color mountain corn and Athena canteloupe. They’ll have South Carolina peaches at least the next couple of weeks, and perhaps into October.
– Eagle Farm has scuppernongs and a wide variety of tomatoes, along with okra, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, peas and peppers.
– Doug & Joyce’s Greenhouses has lavender and rosemary, along with a good variety of assorted hanging baskets. Ivy baskets begun in spring are now at a nice length. The greenhouse is also offering aloe plants, hens and chicks and assorted ornamental peppers. You can also purchase local honey here.
– How Sweet It Is will not be onsite today and Saturday, but will return Sept. 17. The bakery is now taking orders for Thanksgiving.
– Miller’s Produce still has local sweet corn.
The Farmer’s Market, at the corner of South Main and Bank streets, is open 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday and Saturday. Arrive early for best selection.
