Krazy Night Out this Friday

Published 12:00 am Thursday, July 17, 2008

Downtown Salisbury Inc. will host Krazy Night Out Friday from 5-10 p.m. as part of Salisbury’s annual three-day Krazy Klearance Sidewalk Sale, July 17-19.
Experience Historic Downtown Salisbury on a summer night and find some of the best deals of the year during Krazy Night Out.
Downtown stores feature extended hours and storewide sales for this special event.
There will be plenty of free entertainment for the kids including trolley rides, moon bounces, hot dog carts, and face painting. Car enthusiasts can check out the classic cars parked in the Farmers Market lot on the corner of S. Main and E. Bank Streets.
Or board one of Horse and Carriage Ltd.’s carriages for a sweet, cool ride around downtown.
The band Holy Ghost Tent Revival will entertain with their singular brand of “good and dirty dance music.” Defying easy description, this six-piece band’s music might best be characterized as frenetic, rockin’-out jazz that will, in their own words, “make your mothers chant, make your fathers get up and dance, and make the preacher man’s daughter blush and turn the volume up on her stereo just a little bit more.” [www.myspace.com/hgtr]
Opening for HGTR will be SwampBoat, playing their “Smokin’ Homegrown Bluegrass.”
The music begins at 7 p.m. in front of 111 S. Main St.
Krazy Night Out is free and open to the public, rain or shine. Enjoy the swingin’ music, savor a new flavor of ice cream or simply enjoy the many refreshments and specials that Downtown merchants will be offering throughout the evening.
