TORONTO ó Los Angeles Galaxy stars David Beckham and Landon Donovan headlined the roster for the MLS All-Star Game, which will be played July 24 in Toronto against the English Premier League club West Ham United.
The league-leading New England Revolution on Thursday claimed three of the 11 early roster spots for the game: defender Michael Parkhurst, midfielder Shalrie Joseph and goalkeeper Matt Reis. The first 11 players were chosen based on voting by fans. Donovan led in aggregate votes, while Beckham had the edge in fan voting.
