Eldon Clayman is in charge of arrangements for Morganton’s Spring Fling Sectional Tournament set for May 2-4 at the Collett Street Recreation Center. There will be overall prizes.
Phoebe Beard and Marie Pugh placed first in the weekly duplicate game last Tuesday evening at the Salisbury Woman’s Club.
Other winners were: June Evans and Billy Burke, second; Judy Hurder and Gloria Bryant, third; Margaret and Charles Rimer, fourth.

The Charles Rimers defeated their North opponent’s six no trumps contract one trick for the best E/W score.
In the Evergreen Club’s April 18 duplicate game, Stella Shadroui and Betty Bonner Steele placed first E/W and high overall. Myrnie McLaughlin and Billy Burke placed first N/S.
