Our quarterly club championship duplicate game will be held next Tuesday evening at the Salisbury Woman’s Club. Higher Master Points are awarded in this competition. Game time is 7 p.m.
Lucy Brown and Margaret Rimer took first place in the March 11 weekly duplicate game.
Other winners were: Becky Creekmore and Marie Pugh, second; Phoebe Beard and Billy Burke, third; Myrine and John McLaughlin, fourth.
This was the deal on Board 8 from Tuesday’s game.

Dwight Prater, a new player from Lexington, and Charles Rimer played a three no trumps contract, making four, for the best E/W score on this deal.
The Creekmore/Pugh pair defeated their East opponent’s five clubs contract one trick for the top N/S score.
In the Evergreen Club’s March 7 duplicate game Betty Bills and Clyde Steele placed first N/S. Jean Hill and Loren Parkinson were the top E/W pair.
Other winners were: N/S óJune Evans and Billy Burke, second. E/W ó Carol and Harold Winecoff, second.
