Dogwood tourney set for March 28-30Salisbury’s annual Dogwood Bridge Tournament will be held March 28-30 at the Rufty-Holmes Senior Center. Dick Euler is tournament chair and Loyd Hill will handle partnerships.
Stella Shadroui and Betty Bonner Steele placed first in the weekly duplicate game last Tuesday evening at the Salisbury Woman’s Club.
Other winners were: Becky Creekmore and Marie Pugh, second; Myrtle Brandon and Betsy Bare, third; Phoebe Beard and Ellna Simpson-Elton, fourth.

The Pugh/Creekmore pair played a four hearts contract, making five, for the best E/W score on this deal.
The John McLaughlins defeated their East opponent’s three no trumps contract two tricks for the top N/S score.
In the Evergreen Club’s Feb. 1 duplicate game Ruth Bowles and Marie Pugh scored high overall and first N/S. Roslind and Hall Steele took first place E/W.
