Gretchen Smith was recently appointed to the District 7 Goodwill Committee. She has been active in many roles at unit and district levels. Prior to moving to Davidson, Gretchen scored our local game on the computer.
Myrnie and John Mclaughlin took first place in our weekly duplicate game last Tuesday evening at the Salisbury Woman’s Club.
Other winners were: Linda and Dick Euler, second; Stella Shadroui and Betty Bonner Steele, third; Betsy Bare and Myrtle Brandon, fourth.

The John McLaughlins played a one-no-trump-doubled contract, making four, for the best E/W score on this deal.
Gloria Bryant and Wayne Pegram were the top N/S pair, defeating their West opponent’s three spades contract two tricks.
Carol Bachl and Judy Gealy were high overall and first E/W in the Evergreen Club’s Jan. 25 duplicate game.
Linda Euler and Loyd Hill placed first N/S.
