CHINA GROVE ó Glenn Daniel Kindley, 81, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at CMC-NorthEast.
Born Dec. 11, 1926, in Cabarrus County, Mr. Kindley was a son of the late Walter Daniel and Jennie Bullabaugh Kindley.
Kindley was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War and received the Purple Heart. He was retired from Cannon Mills and was a member of Mount Mitchell United Methodist Church.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mollie Gray Kindley. Survivors include his wife, Gaynell Kemp Kindley; daughters Donna Kindley and Cathy Dickens of Concord; a brother, James P. Kindley of Mount Pleasant; one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at Mount Mitchell United Methodist Church, the Rev. Mary Hatley and Rev. Abe Ferris officiating. Burial, Oakwood Cemetery.
