Ruth H. Ritchie
CONCORD ó Ruth Donnell Henry Ritchie, 83, Goodman Circle, died June 18, 2007, at NorthEast Medical Center after a three-week illness.
Born Feb. 11, 1924, in Concord, Mrs. Ritchie was a daughter of the late John William and Jessie Hicks Henry. Her late stepmother was Lora Henry
A 1941 graduate of Hartsell High School, she worked in textiles for years and then at the meat counter of Dover’s Supermarket.
She was a member of First Assembly of Concord.
Her husband, Clarence Albert Ritchie, died in 2000.
Survivors include daughter Frances Howell, Concord; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
A service was held Thursday (June 21, 2007) at Whitley’s Funeral Home, Kannapolis, conducted by the Rev. Forest Jones. Burial, Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis.
